Construction of Nikachhu Hydropower Project (118 MW) 8th July 2014 –The application for the construction of 118 MW Nikachhu Hydropower Project was received from Druk Green Power Corporation on 8th July 2014.
System Operator Established 1st July 2014 –Pursuant to the Electricity Act of Bhutan, 2001 the System Operator has been established with license to operate with effect from 1st July 2014. The license has been issued to Bhutan Power Corporation.
Dagachhu (126 MW) Construction Extension 14th June 2014 –Dagachhu Hydropower Corporation has applied for extension of construction license from 1st July to 30th November 2014.
Wind Power Plant at Rubesa – Wangdiphodrang 1st June 2014 –The Bhutan Electricity Authority issued a License to Bhutan Power Corporation Limited to construct and operate 500kW Wind Power Plant, Rubesa with effect from 1st June 2014.
Public Notification 18th October 2013 –The Bhutan Electricity Authority (BEA) hereby announces the New Power Tariff of Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) and Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) for the period 2013/14 – 2015/16 with effect from 1 st October 2013.
Public Hearing 21st July 2013 –The Bhutan Electricity Authority conducted a Public Hearing for the Tariff Revision Proposals submitted by the DGPC and BPC on 18 July, 2013 at the NRDCL Conference Hall in Thimphu. The presentations made by the BEA Secretariat, BPC and DGPC at the Public Hearing is now available in this website under Tariff Section.
